Facilities

Main Ice

Players will be offered high quality training facilities to go along with an NHL-size ice surface within the new hockey development centre being built in Brandon’s west end. Included within the facility is a performance centre for improving a player’s strength and fitness level.

Mini Rinks

Within our facility will be 2 shooting bays and 1 goalie bay used for private or small group sessions. Both the shooting stations and goalie bay have real ice so players can skate and practice their skills as they would on a regulation-sized ice sheet, but at a fraction of the cost. Qualified instructors will be made available for any player looking for individual or small group instruction.

Academics

Students from grades five through eight will spend their days focusing on both Academics and Hockey. Hockey training will take place both on the main ice and VHP Mini Rinks; off ice, students will train MNP Performance Centre. The WCHA middle school athletes will focus on six core subjects; Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Health, and Art.

Every athlete coming through our program will receive on-ice and off-ice skill based training over the course of one year, developing the best and brightest that Westman has to offer.

MNP Performance Centre

Athletes will have access to full scale gym, equipment was specifically selected to improve speed and power for hockey players.
